His Words
On Christmas Eve we learn about the greatest book ever written, The Bible. The Word of God, which tells the story from Creation to the New Jerusalem, and everything in between. The stories written in the Bible lead us closer and closer to God.
The Bible was written over the space of about 2000 years. Its divided into two sections, the Old and New Testaments, in 66 books (39 in the Old Testament and 27 in the New Testament) and by approximately 40 authors by divine inspiration (2nd Timothy 3:16)
These words are our guidebook to Heaven and feature His Law, His Love, and everything He wants for us. Its there to help us through tough times, to help us celebrate good times, and to inspire us all the time. The Bible is not a coffee table book to collect dust, it should be open daily to share His word. And it should be shared with others as we read deeper and deeper into it.
His Word is a wonderful gift, but the greatest gift ever arrives tomorrow.
