Hope
The Apostle Paul tells us in 1st Corinthians 13:13 (one of my favourite verses):
And now abide faith, hope and love, these three; but the greatest of these is love. (NKJV)
The apostle lists these three together, and of course we know that God’s love is the greatest, but faith and hope are wonderful gifts. Without the hope of rebirth and eternal life, then our lives on earth would be sad, especially considering that gradually things get worse and worse.
Also the hope that we will spend eternity in Heaven with our Lord and Saviour, Jesus Christ along with the great prophets of the past. The hope to sit along side God and have our questions answered. The hope to reunite with family members who we’ve lost. And the hope to walk in a place free of pain, sadness and sin.
I have that hope, do you? Tomorrow we learn about speech.
