A Mansion For You

In John 14:2, Jesus tells us:

In my Father’s house are many mansions: if it were not so, I would have told you. I go to prepare a place for you. (KJV)

My Father’s house has many rooms; if that were not so, would I have told you that I am going there to prepare a place for you? (NIV)

So according to this verse from my favourite Bible book, The Gospel According to John, you have a mansion in heaven waiting for you.  Jesus had just told His disciples about His upcoming death, and that He would be soon leaving them, and they were distraught, but then Jesus explains why He must leave and what He is going to do.

Your mansion will be for YOU to live in and share with who you want.  It will be yours forever, and will never weather or need repairs.  It will be like you will be once you arrive in heaven, perfect!

Jesus knows our wants and needs, and your mansion will be different from mine, and from everyone elses, because it will be unique to you.

Remember, that all you have to do is believe and follow Him and your mansion will be prepared!
